It’s fiber optic Friday and we are pumped! In celebration of our favorite day of the week, and the upcoming weekend, we found an article about fiber optics being biocompatible. Due to the fact that fiber optics use glass tubes, they have not been compatible with biological systems. A team at the Massachusetts General Hospital found that flexible and biocompatible hydrogels may are able to bring optical fibers to biological systems.
